Internship

R.E.D. offers internships 3 days a week, where the intern can use the remaining time for their own creations.

In 2017, R.E.D. hosted two internships. The first trainee was Madeline Wood from Lille, France, who lived with us for 4 months. The practice was funded by the Erasmus + program and ADICE. Madeline gained experience in various fields, such as being curatorial assistant for RIFF film festival, set designer for the internal production of SACRE, marketing assistant and designer for R.E.D. and RIFF, and more. Madeline also showed her film "Collapsus" during RIFF 2017, and created the EINAWOOD sign in collaboration with Ella Fiskum. We are pleased to announce that Madeline will return as a graphic designer in 2018 to work with RIFF.

In the autumn we hosted Hege Eriksdatter Østefjells from Lillesand, Norway, who stayed with us for 4 weeks. Hege is an international circus artist specializing in tissue and rope, and she used her time to promote the general structure of the organization. The practice was initiated by Hege herself in collaboration with Stockholm University of the Arts to gain experience in financing and organizing a place to stay. In addition, she was an instructor for a tissue / rope workshop which is part of our outreach program. Hege will return as an artist in November 2018 to work with the new house production "Toten Cabaret & Mat" (working title).
